Created to be Called Momma
I wrote this piece when my son recently contracted RSV and resulted in a brief hospital stay. I realized how special a Mother is. We go through so many hard things in motherhood. We are always there for our babies. Enduring through sickness, sleepless nights, and trying to sooth every cry or discomfort.
Before the foundation of the world God chose us, called us by name, and carefully nit us together in our Mothers womb. He knew what we would be before we did. He knew our position. I believe he prepared and equipped us for that position. The one you have now or the one you are yet to fulfill.
We all have doubted ourselves in some way as to if we really can fulfill our position or live up to the challenges. After all being a Mom is the most challenging career I have ever chosen. I thought my job was hard before but this one is ever changing, challenging, and yet the most rewarding.
God created you to be called Momma. God’s got you and has well equipped you. Let patience have her perfect work. I’m sure you have gained more patience then you thought possible for your little ones or learn to control those nasty outburst of anger or not. And that’s ok. We are not all perfect and don’t have the perfect routine down. But we always figure out a way to get things accomplished during the Day. You are Momma. I’m sure you have also been pushed farther than you thought and still have endured with perseverance.
Your sacrifices don’t go unnoticed. Your selfless. You go from spoiling your self to being the bare minimum Mom. Instead of that 30 min. style you op for the 5 min. Mom updo. Whatever is quick. Instead of purchasing that pedi, haircut, new makeup or expensive skin care line you put your children first. You provide their needs and wants first. You feed them, cloth them, and provide the best toys you can find. They have you. Don’t get down on yourself Momma for opting to be that stay at home Mom instead of having that upper scaled career. Yes you could buy more, splurge more and go on all the trips. But Money doesn’t buy time. They have your time instead of money or all the expensive items money can buy. They have your home made meals, kisses, hugs, and most of all your undivided attention.
I get it being that stay at home Mom is hard. You cut corners, and make money stretch. You may not have a paycheck to blow on a new wardrobe. But you are rewarded in so many other ways. You are there raising your children and instilling important values. They are learning from you and not the nanny. They are smart because of you. They give you their unconditional love, hugs, kisses, slobbers’, coos, and caws. God knew they’d need a Momma like you. God created and equipped you to be called Momma.
